Silestone is composed of 94% natural quartz, and is the first and only quartz countertop with Bacteriostatic Protection, a unique silver compound that is added during its manufacturing giving it unique features. When Bacteria come into contact with the Silestone® P+ surface at any point they interact with the silver ions which inhibits the bacteria’s ability to reproduce. This property ensures that bacteria do not proliferate on the surface, providing active protection for the material in any of its applications. This protection is effective throughout the entire life and normal use of your new silestone worktop.

Silestone also comes in 3 different and unique textures!        Suede – Volcano – Polished

The Silestone Suede finish is a remarkable textured surface that offers a uniquely soft touch and effect that is pure beauty and luxury. Perfect for countertops and tiling!
The Silestone Volcano finish is a quartz surface texture from Silestone that is both rustic and soft at the same time. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms!
The Silestone Polished finish is the original look and feel that stands the test of time. With glimmering radiance and the smooth feel of natural stone, Silestones original polished surface remains popular throughout the world. This deep and pure surface shows Silestone quartz with elegance and clarity.

The Colours of our Silestone

The images of silestone and silestone worktops that we display on our website are the best possible representation of the material without seeing it with your own eyes. The photographs are subject to the colour reproduction process of the photography that was used to capture the images, as well as the screen that you are viewing it on.

The environment in which something is viewed also makes a contribution and, as such, we strongly advise that our clients come to see the Quartz in person at the Omega Interiors showroom.

Caring for your Silestone

Your quartz worktops are an investment which we appreciate you will want to keep in pristine condition and we would like to provide you with some advice on how to take best care of your new quartz surfaces.

Unlike granite and other natural materials, quartz surfaces are non-porous and do not require sealing or waxing. There are however some ‘best practice’ tips we would like to make you aware of to keep your surfaces looking at their very best for years to come.

Day-to-day Cleaning and Care

Your surfaces can be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth… never use bleach, chlorine based products and/or scouring pads/cloths. Warm soapy water is more than adequate in most cases.

Avoid letting acidic or foodstuffs likely to cause staining settle or dry on the surface. Wine, curry, fruit juice and soda water all have the possibility to to stain the resin if left to settle.

If foodstuffs have dried on the surface please use a plastic scraper, such as a car ice scraper, to remove the majority of the foodstuff and then clean with warm soapy water. Never use a metal scraper or knife.

Quartz, as a material, is heat resistant but is vulnerable to rapid changes in temperature or prolonged exposure, so always place hot pans on trivets or hot-pads.

Your quartz surface is scratch resistant but to avoid deep scratching caused by serrated bread knives or professional chef’s knives always use a chopping board when cutting or preparing food.
